Wolfson Hillel Primary School, Southgate for the United Synagogue
1471 WHPS
This project for the United Synagogue Trusts involved the extension and conversion of an existing and substantial 1930’s Middlesex County Council high school building, to suit the requirements of a modern primary school. The design, for 420 pupils, was to DfEE standards for a new state-aided school.
Building work took place in 1991 and 1992.
Internally, corridors were colour-coded for varying form-entries, and much use was made of strong primary colours to counter-balance the institutional 30’s building.
